LobbyMap assesses and scores over 250 industry associations globally on their climate policy engagement activities. Mirroring LobbyMap’s assessment of companies, an overview of the scoring system can be found here, with the full methodology here.
The table below contains a ranking of over 100 key industry associations. The industry associations are ranked according to their InfluenceMap grade, with those at the top having the highest grades (indicating support for Paris-aligned climate policy), and those toward the bottom having the lowest grades (indicating opposition to Paris-aligned climate policy).
Use the drop-down buttons to filter industry associations by sector or region, or search by industry association name below. Or, search by company name to access a full list of the company's industry association memberships in the table.
A summary profile and full access to the data underlying the assessments can be accessed via the links in the table.
A fundamental part of LobbyMap’s assessment focuses on a company’s indirect influence on climate policy via its industry associations. This assessment produces a company 'Relationship Score', which is an aggregate assessment of how supportive or oppositional a company’s industry associations are in their climate change policy engagements. This analysis also accommodates an assessment of the strength of the relationship between a company and an industry association (e.g. a stronger weighting will be attributed where a company sits on the board of an industry association).
